Tomás Wallenstein is 26 years old and was born in Lisbon.
His mother is a lyric singer, his father a double bass player, and he also found his vocation in music. First, he studied violin at Fundação Musical dos Amigos das Crianças. Later, as a teenager, he started listening to the garage bands arising at the time, and after that he explored pop music, while playing with friends in various bands.
He met Domingos Coimbra, Francisco Ferreira, Manuel Palha and Salvador Seabra in high school in 2007, with whom he later formed Capitão Fausto in the summer of 2009.
Since then, the band released three albums: Gazela (2011), Pesar o Sol (2014) and Capitão Fausto têm os Dias Contados (2016).
In 2012, the band founded Cuca Monga, an independent label that has released albums from Modernos, Bispo, El Salvador, GANSO and Luís Severo. They have a recording studio in Alvalade, in partnership with their friend and colleague Diogo Rodrigues, and live as brothers in the same house.
